A set of PRR 1917 track engineering plans has survived [27]. As well as the track configurations in 1917 these plans also show the original track configurations. These tracks have been annonated to improve clarity on the following plans.

In purchasing property for the re-engineering of the Main Line the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) not only purchased the land needed for the project, but also re-purchased the land used in the original construction of the railroad. It seems likely there was some sort of deficit in the material handed over to the PRR when it purchased the Main Line in 1857.

There are 4 types of records in these tables. Firstly, the majority are deeds between land owners and the PRR when there was an agreed price. Then there are condemnation proceedings when no agreement was reached and the purchase price was decided by the Courts. There are also references to the 1857 purchase deed, N9-235, presumably when it was not possible to identify the ownership history of a tract. Lastly there are purchases associated with the Berwyn Bypass project which was initiated in 1902, these purchases did not use the Eminent Domain procedure, unlike the other purchases.
