01.05.1831 Village Record
The subscriber contemplating a Removal,
will sell at public sale, on Saturday, the
15th of January, 1831, at 2 o'clock,
on the premises -
A LOT OF LAND
Containing Twelve Acres 131 perches,
situate in the Great Valley, Tredyffrin
township, Chester county, 1 1-2 miles from
the Lancaster Pike, 18 miles from Phila.
adjoining lands of Israel Davis, Thos. Rowland
and others, in a high state of cultivation ;
it is divided into 4 fields, with good
fence & has been lately limed, with upwards
of an hundred bushels to the acre. The
improvements are a new stone house 2 1/2 stories
high, with a kitchen and other out buildings.
A shop, a good baru, a well of never failing
water near the door, a young thriving
apple orchard and a number of other fruit
trees, another new stone house on the
premises two stories high ; also 2 five acre sprout
lots on the Valley-Hill which has been
cut off a number of years, and now very
thriving
The above described property, is in one
of the best situations for business, in Chester
county - an excellent stand for a store, or a
very eligible one for an industrious Mechanic,
the neighborhood being healthy - and
population moral, industrious, and prosperous.
